Why it’s vital to engage the private sector
In their systematic review of youth employment programmes, World Bank, ILO and RWI and researchers conclude that “programmes solely implemented / managed by the private sector lead to moderately higher gains”.
Because the private sector is where most jobs will be created – and because it is taxes paid by a flourishing private sector that will pay for any public sector jobs created – it is vital to place the private sector at the heart of all job creation policymaking.
